Welcome to Living Way

Living Way is a non-profit organization that is working to economically empower people from under-resourced communities in Cape Town, South Africa. We want people to break their cycle of poverty one family at a time.

We are a Christian-based organization that see our work as a practical expression of God's heart for the poor. Psalm 140:12 says "I know that the LORD secures justice for the poor and upholds the cause of the needy". We believe that the church acts out God’s heart. We believe that we have the responsibility, as well as the honour, of being part of what God is already doing in the lives of the poor. God has placed the church in South Africa in an incredible place at this point in history - to bring his light and his hope to those less fortunate.

It is not about seeking money as the solution to poverty. It is about upholding justice. It is about dignity. It is about empowerment. It is about hope. It is about walking a journey with the poor, providing opportunities to rise above their struggles.

Living Way is part of the Fish Hoek Baptist Church Community Trust.  Formed in 1999, this not-for-profit organisation is involved in various community development programmes, each with a focus on sharing the love of Christ. Living Hope focuses on HIV, health care and prevention, whilst Living Grace works to rehabilitate men and women who live on the street.  Find out more about Living Hope and Living Grace by accessing their websites:
