Living Way

Welcome to Living Way's July newsletter. It has been a while since the last one and there is so much to tell of how God has blessed Living Way.

Update on Living Way Programmes

The last few months have been busy and I will touch on just a few of our activities:
+ Entrepreneur Training: Another group of budding entrepreneurs attended the entrepreneur training in April and May. The businesses ideas varied from a cleaning business, to a fast food restaurant, to a fashion magazine! It was a challenging time for the entrepreneurs as they grappled with new concepts. We held another workshop with all our graduates that focused on marketing one's business. This has proven to be an area of need for most business owners in the area.
+ EQUIP training: In May we hosted John Maxwell's international training arm: Equip. Focusing on empowering local leaders to train and mentor those around them, this material is perfect for the work we do. We had two sets of training: one for Living Hope, Living Grace and Living Way staff and another set of training with local pastors in the area. Subsequent to this training, all participants have gone through Notebook 1 of 6 which will allow them to start training those around them to tap their leadership potential.
+ Worker Readiness School: We are a few steps away from running our pilot in the worker readiness school. Sheralyn Cloete has been researching what businesses are looking for in employees and what programmes are available to address these needs. Watch this space as we pilot the course.

Day of Prayer

We value the power of prayer and want to create an opportunity for us to get together and seek His face and His hand to be on Living Way. We are planning a day of prayer for Living Way on 24 July. It will start off with a group prayer meeting on the LW Campus. Following that, we will be giving interested people specific verses to pray over Living Way. This can be done once an hour, or all together, depending on how your day looks. If you are interested in being part of this day of prayer, please email Richard to find out more information and get the prayer points.

Points of Prayer

  • For God's guidance and wisdom as we seek training partners.
  • For God's continued provision for running costs.
  • For His blessing in reaching people for Christ.
  • For people to join us in prayer.
  • Feel free to email Richard at richard@livingway.co.za.
