WorkLife

Preparing people for the world of work is critical.  Retention rates are very low, with many people returning to unemployment because they are not prepared for the work environment.

In researching the need for this type of course, our programme developers found that employers were saying the same thing: They can train the hard skill needed for the job, but they require people with positive attitudes, good communication, reliability and so on.  The WorkLife curriculum has been custom designed to meet these needs.

Long term unemployed people do not have the experience nor the role models to live out what is, for most people, common sense.  Through focusing this programme on the soft skills required for employment, it is truly giving people a leg up.

Programme modules include, amongst others:

  • Work Ethic
  • Communication
  • Conflict resolution
  • Dependability
  • Initiative
  • CV and interviews
  • Time management

This course is currently being accredited with the Services SETA, allowing us to provide qualifications upon completion of the course.
